During a press conference at the National Unity Platform headquarters this week, Gen High Tower, one of NUP president, Bobi Wine’s bodyguard, expressed that he is now prepared to confront President Museveni and his army, as he has grown weary of the current regime.
In a video circulated on social media, High Tower implored the party leader to allow them to challenge Museveni directly, stating that if death comes, then so be it, as they have endured enough.
With tears in his eyes, Tower recounted how JATT commandos brutally assaulted him, resulting in a broken leg and arm. Despite the injuries, he chose to proceed to Kawempe for Nalukoola’s rally to demonstrate to the world the failures of Gen Museveni as a leader.
Tower has also pledged to give his life in defense of Bobi Wine until they can oust the heavily protected President Museveni from power.
In the same press conference at the party headquarters today, Bobi Wine instructed all members and supporters of NUP to organize and safeguard the 2026 presidential elections, declaring their triumph in Kawempe North as the initial step towards a broader electoral victory, which, if replicated, would lead to President Museveni returning to his home in Rwakitura by 2026.
The image of NUP and its Foot soldiers is tainted with violence.
