Mathias mpuuga who is the former leader of opposition and now leader of the newly made pressure group known as the Democratic Alliance.
It is nolonger news now that the former LOP fell out with his party and it’s leaders that National Unity Platform and Kyagulanyi who help him rise to the position of the opposition leader.
Plans were made after the fell out as Mpuuga refused to apologize to the party leaders and the people as the party claimed.
By the end of last month Mpuuga had already made his move and had now formed what is now known as the Democratic Aliance (AC) that has seen a number of opposition leader mostly those from the dp block.
Today they made a press conference to confirm what was really formed and he clarifies that AC not a political party but a pressure group that had been made to help them pursue the rightfully freedom of the people of Uganda.
“This morning, we had an engagement with the media on the Democratic Alliance plans to push for meaningful political and electoral reforms.
Democratic Alliance is not a new political party but a pressure group that seeks to work with all pro-change political formations to fight for the change that will work for all.
Effective January 2025, we are going to move around the country to mobilise & educate the masses on our proposed political & electoral reforms.
We can not afford to continue to sit and watch as the opposition remains trapped in a deep slumber simply because the leaders of the day are clueless and lack a plan that will take us forward.
