Speaking to media, presidential adviser and president of the Uganda Music Federation Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo has come out to speak on matters of banning artists whose music has got vulgarity.
Kenzo clarifies on the matter that the UNCC and it’s leaders have no mandate to ban artist from singing or being booked at any event.
He also disapproves the fact that artists should be using vulgar Languages or using vulgarity to puy out their art to the public but then there should be better ways on how to solve this issue other than banning the artist.
Kenzo also talks about the different problems that are faced by these artists and are unknown to the public and there it wouldn’t so good to just put bans or sactions on them just like that.
Artist should atleast be given warnings before you put their life through misery he adds.
When asked about what the Katikiro said about the same issue, Kenzo answered by saying the Katikiro is a cultural leader of the same cultural that is said to being abused, if he come out and says thus is wrong, then it should be worked on he said.
Kenzo also finished by saying they will as the leadership in the art industry, come together and put up an apology to the katikiro of Buganda and help guide these artists on the right path.
