The ongoing case of a Hajji who is being accused of sexually assaulting his step daughter has been heard again today.
Hajji Ali Mwizera a law-abiding citizen with a fixed place of abode in Bulenga-Kikaaya A Zone, Ssumbwe Parish, Wakiso sub-county, and Bweya, Kajjansi town council, Wakiso district, is being accused by the wife for defiling their 14-year-old daughter.
Since his arrest the case has been one of the most public cases as it has the attention of almost every caliber of personnel in the public.
This is also proved as the public is being divided into two sides, those that support the arrest and detaining of Hajji Ali setting an example man out there who carry out sexual crimes on children and then there’s a side of those sympathizing with Hajji Ali claiming he is wrongfully being accused by the wife who wants to claim his property.
While in court session today Hajji’s council was able to present sureties as asked by the judge.
The sureties presented in Hajji Ali’s bail application include Mukasa, a friend of 20 years, Bamenya Aristo (Taata Omuto), Muhereza Dan (LC1 Mutundwe 1), and Imam Serwanga Siraje, a religious leader.
Talking to his lawyer Hon. Muhammad Nsereko warns the public about the people that claim to be their close friends or even family talking to the media.
Hajji Ali has been remanded until the 5th December for his next hearing.
