On Monday three women were charged and remanded till September 12 2024 to Luzira Prison over staging nude prost at the parliament of Uganda as a sign of showing their dissatisfaction on the different things that are being done in Uganda.
The remanded include Praise Aloikin, Norah Kobusingye and Kemitoma Kyenzibo who were arrested by police while naked painted with the Uganda National Colors of the flag that’s Red, Black and Yellow.
The three were carrying placards demanding the resignation of the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Annet Anita Among over allegations of corruption that also citing foreign bodies to sanction many of the Government officials.
The arrested pleaded not guilty of the charges that were posed on them before Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizi and these charges include being a common nuisance in public.
This isn’t the first time such protest happens against the speaker of Parliament, the same happened on March 23 2024 that resulted into the condoning off of all roads head to parliament and left over 100 individuals arrested.
