Senior Presidential Advisor On Creatives Mr. Edriisa Musuuza has boldly confirmed that he isn’t intersect or even running for any office since he isn’t a politician and can’t engage in political related activities
“Don’t expect me to contest for any political position anywhere because am not a politician am a musician”
Eddy Kenzo with a number of creativities parted ways with a body that was regulating musicians that was named Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) that he was also one of the founders and started Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) in a way of getting a joint voice to raise their issues to government seeking for copyright which seems to be at its final stage.
This caused a lot of confusion in the industry since those who were isn’t support for the National Unity Platform headed by Bobi Wine declined and started fighting it claiming its money oriented and they can’t sit and ask government to give them what is meant to be there’s.
Later the motion was raised to the floor of parliament by Mawokota North MP Hillary Kiyaga Innocent known as Hilderman and Bobi Wine supported his and cautioned him not work with government later engaged and got knowledge from silver Kyagulanyi. The motion was supported by many legislators after successfully forming UNMF and these include Hon Minister Phiona Nyamutoro.
After Eddy Kenzo meeting President Museveni, he was later awarded as the Senior Presidential Advisor on creatives but during his dinner, Eddy Kenzo dashed away claims that were all over the internet citing him to run for a political seat in the next parliament.
“Am not a politician and don’t expect me to run for any office, I just sat down to find a solution to the industry and we can’t hesitate from engaging with government since they are the one handling this country”
“If I wake up one moment and start support President Museveni, it’s not bas since everyone is allowed to support whoever you want and now that he has brought the poor like me closer and listen to my issues as a musician now I love him more that before”
“We wanted to create a common ground that favors also those that aren’t in politics and go under the creative sector”
