The president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over the weekend met with clan leaders in the state house and this meeting was to ask favors from the president.
The delegation was led by the Minister of State for ICT, Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo and they were there to ask for the permission from the president to set up a building for the Kingdom on the land that the president had given to them.
The president accepted offered them the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) engineers to help them in the construction of these buildings and also offered 200 million shillings to their SACO.
In the Buganda Parliament, the Katikiro Charlse peter Mayiga was asked how the clan leaders got to meet the president with out him or even the parliament of Buganda knowing about it.
Katikiro replied them by denying knowing anything about this meeting, “I don’t about it, these people didn’t tell me anything about this meeting, even their leader didn’t know about it because they didn’t not inform him” he said.
Charlse Peter Mayiga also added that it is very okay for the president to help the clan leaders with whatever problems they have but this should be done through their boss the Kabaka who is not present at the moment.
Therefore, this was done behind the Kabaka’s back and the Katikiro also did not know about it as in was in the country
