Eddy Kenzo Responds to Rumors: Is He Converting to Christianity Before His Wedding?

Singer and the President of the Uganda National Musician Federation has refuted rumors that have been making rounds on social claiming that his is soon converting to Christianity and denounce being a Muslim ahead of her planned wedding with State Minister For Mineral Development Hon Phiona Nyamutoro.

This was raised by Doreen kabareebe after a photo that was taken when he had escorted his wife Hon Nyamutoro before the bishop in Nebbi during the Thanks giving that happened on 3rd August 2024 where president Yoweri Museveni was the chief guest.

Kabareebe had claimed that for Eddy Kenzo to get into an official marriage with Phiona Nyamutoro had to change from Islam and start to believe in Catholicism which Kenzo replied to and stated that the information circulating was right and baseless. It on record that Eddy Kenzo also visited Mecca for Umrah that was funded by Weli tours and travels.

In an interview Eddy Kenzo replied as follows in quotes.

““It is not true. That is all propaganda. Why would they want me to change religion? They have never said anything like that. Personally, I do not see the world like everyone else. It is about faith not religions. The way you see and believe in your God,”
“People saying this have an intention of starting religious ways and they are using Eddy Kenzo and Phiona to separate people. But a sensible person will know that we all serve one God and you can love him from wherever you are,” Eddy Kenzo said.”

Its almost a month now since Eddy Kenzo visited Hon Phiona Nyamutoro home in a Kukyala that was secret and the ceremony was fully in attendance by family and close friends and the parents gave her a green light to keep pushing on with Eddy Kenzo.
